Shining Stars in Leather Design: 100,000 TL Prize for the Winner!

The Detay Leather Product Design Competition is in full swing, aiming to bring fresh talent into the leather industry and elevate the profile of leather design. Creative Director Gamze Saraçoğlu emphasized the importance of this field, highlighting its need for specialized focus. “Leather is an integral part of the textile industry, but due to its cost, students tend to avoid it. With this competition, we aim to spark interest in leather design and encourage more exploration in this area,” she said.

Exciting Prizes for Winners

The competition will reward the top achievers in two categories, leather apparel and leather accessories:

• First Place: 100,000 TL
• Second Place: 80,000 TL
• Third Place: 60,000 TL

In addition, the winners will receive opportunities for language training both domestically and abroad. A standout feature of the competition is the potential for the top three participants to gain "Overseas Design Education Rights," subject to approval by the Ministry of Trade.

Announcement of Winners

The final jury evaluation will take place on Wednesday, November 20, at Mövenpick Hotel Istanbul Marmara Sea. The award ceremony will be held at the Turkish Exporters Assembly, where the winners will be officially announced.
